The editors have made a substantial contribution to The Biomass Assessment Handbook. However, we recognize that since the idea of writing the handbook first started to take shape many people have contributed to it in different ways, directly or indirectly. We would like to acknowledge all of them but they are too many and the time elapsed too long.
