Geosynthetics in geotechnical engineering and environment

Ennio Marques Palmeira

Geosynthetics in geotechnical engineering and environment gathers the author’s 40 years of experience in the subject to deal with the applications of geosynthetics through a solid theoretical base and multiple practical examples.

The book starts from the involved resources, such as types of geosynthetics and polymers and their properties, to then introduce their applications in different projects, like drainage and filtration, environment protection works, hydraulic works, road reinforcement works, landfills on soft soils, contentions and soil reinforcements.

An updated and complete reference on the subject, Geosynthetics in geotechnical engineering and environment offers practical examples, illustrations, installation requirements, sizing, performance evaluation and examples of calculations.
