Iracema Fonseca de Albuquerque Cavalcanti holds a PhD in Meteorology from University of Reading (UK). She is currently a researcher at Cptec/Inpe and CCST/Inpe. He is a professor of Meteorology at Inpe.

Nelson Jesus Ferreira

Nelson Jesus Ferreira is a researcher at Center for Weather Forecasts and Climate Studies (CPTEC/INPE). He is a physicist and holds a Masters, a PhD and a Postdoctoral degree from University of São Paulo (Astronomic and Geophysical Institute). He is a professor of Remote Sensing of Climate and Synoptic Meteorology. He develops research in Climatology, Synoptic Meteorology and Satellite Meteorology.

Maria Gertrudes Alvarez Justi da Silva

Maria Gertrudes Alvarez Justi da Silva holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, with emphasis in Atmospheric Sciences in Engineering from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ, 2003). She is currently an associate professor in the Department of Meteorology at UFRJ.

Maria Assunção Faus da Silva Dias holds a degree in Applied Mathematics from University of São Paulo (1974), a Master’s degree (1977) and a PhD (1979) in Atmospheric Sciences from Colorado State University.
